Comet Color Exact Metering Unit / SMD - For Injection Molding
The Comet Color Exact Metering Unit is a screw-type feeder for precise at-the-throat metering of color concentrate and regrind plastic material. Developed especially for injection molding machines, Comet's Color Exact Metering Unit can also be used with extruder machines by simply flipping a switch on the printed circuit board.

Both the auger and sleeve are constructed of stainless steel, crucial to providing a long production life. These state-of-the-art feeders use the latest electronics available today and come standard with a step-motor (the metering screw adjusts automatically at revolutions of 1/100, 115 volt, 60 cycles). Also, the metering screws and metering sleeves can be easily changed. The auger units can be easily mounted and fastened to the casting using two (2) quick disconnect clips.

DCD - For Extrusion

This new color metering unit is a screw-type feeder designed for precise at-the-throat metering of color concentrate, additives, and regrind plastic material.  Developed especially for extrusion machines, Comet’s Color Exact Metering Unit-DC can also be connected with the tachometer control from the extruder.

Both the auger and sleeve are constructed of stainless steel, crucial to providing a long production life.  This state-of-the-art feeder utilizes the latest electronics available today and comes standard with a DC drive.  Also, the metering screws and metering sleeves can be easily changed.  The auger feeding units can be easily removed for cleaning and are fastened to the casting using two (2) quick disconnect clips.
